Are you an experienced Foundry / Furnace Operator with experience in melting and casting aluminium? We are looking for motivated professionals to join a leading metal processing company in Lichtervelde, Belgium.
🔧 Your Responsibilities
- As a Foundry Operator, you will work with both melting and casting operations:
- 🔥 Loading and operating melting furnaces
- 🧪 Taking and analysing samples and adjusting alloys
- ⚙️ Operating casting furnaces according to specified parameters
- 🔩 Monitoring chemical composition and metal flow
- 🏭 Finishing cast products and supporting the casting process
- 🦺 Following strict safety, quality and environmental procedures
- 🧹 Maintaining clean and organised workstations (5S)
💰 What We Offer
- 💶 Starting salary: €18.98/hour
- 📈 After 3 months: €19.40/hour
- 📈 After 6 months: €19.61/hour
- 🚀 Growth up to €21.19/hour after a positive evaluation and qualification as a foundry worker
- ➕ 12% shift premium
- 🌙 30% night premium
- ⏰ Full-time employment in a 5-shift system
- 📄 Permanent contract possible after the interim period

👷 Candidate Profile
- EU nationality required
- Experience as a furnace/foundry operator
- Experience with melting furnaces: loading, temperature monitoring, skimming and adding alloying elements
- Casting experience, including DC casting, controlling metal flow and preventing oxidation
- Technical education or equivalent practical experience
- Strong safety-first mentality
- Reliable, proactive and comfortable working independently or in a team
- 🇬🇧 English: For a team of four, at least one person must be fluent in English; the others must understand basic safety instructions in English.
