River-cruise opportunities include Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, Head Chef, waiter and bartender roles. Chefs prepare meals, maintain hygiene, manage stock and support kitchen operations; senior chefs also supervise and train colleagues. Service staff take and serve orders, advise guests on menus and dietary needs, keep dining and bar stations clean, and prepare drinks where applicable.
Applicants need at least two years of recent hospitality experience and strong professional skills. English and/or German at a minimum B2 level is required, together with teamwork and adaptability to life onboard.
Gross monthly pay is €2,500–€3,450 depending on role and experience, with possible allowances and bonuses. The advertised schedule is 48 hours weekly. Rotations are eight or ten weeks onboard followed by two weeks at home, with 90 paid holiday days yearly. Shared double-room accommodation with a private bathroom, meals, soft drinks and employer-covered health insurance are included. Bring initial black trousers, white shirts and black shoes; uniforms are supplied within two weeks.
