Are you an experienced Truck & Trailer Mechanic who enjoys solving technical problems and working with heavy vehicles? We are looking for a skilled mechanic to join Schenk Tanktransport, a leading international tank transport company with more than 2,600 employees and operations in five countries.
You will work in a professional workshop environment, maintaining and repairing trucks, trailers, and tank transport equipment. The job offers a variety of technical challenges, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs. You will also carry out repairs on-site using a fully equipped service van.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Carry out welding and other technical repair work.
- Maintain and repair tank equipment, including electronic pumps.
- Perform emergency and on-site repairs using a fully equipped service van.
- Inspect vehicle components, identify potential problems, and ensure vehicles remain safe and roadworthy.
- Work independently to find practical solutions to technical problems.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Truck/Trailer Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or in a similar technical position.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to perform welding and general technical repairs.
- Experience working independently and solving technical problems.
- A responsible attitude towards safety, quality, and maintenance.
