Are you an experienced mechanic who enjoys working independently, diagnosing technical problems and repairing machinery directly at customer locations?
We are looking for a skilled Forklift Mechanic to maintain, repair and inspect forklifts and internal transport equipment at different client locations in the Netherlands.
You will have your own fully equipped service van, professional tools and plenty of independence in your daily work. 🚐🛠️
🔧 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts and internal transport equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and technical faults
- Troubleshoot and solve malfunctions independently
- Replace defective and worn components
- Perform safety inspections
- Ensure equipment remains safe, reliable and operational
- Advise customers on correct machine use and maintenance
- Travel to different customer locations with your service van
- Maintain professional and friendly communication with customers
- Every working day is different. One day you might handle a major repair, while the next could involve routine maintenance, safety inspections or troubleshooting smaller technical problems.
✅ REQUIREMENTS
- ️ Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a mechanic or in a relevant technical position
- ️ Good mechanical and technical knowledge
- ️ Able to diagnose and solve technical problems independently
- ️ Experience with forklifts, machinery, automotive, agricultural equipment, heavy equipment or similar technical systems is highly relevant
- ️ Comfortable working independently at customer locations
- ️ Practical and solution-oriented mindset
- ️ Responsible and professional working attitude
- ️ Customer-friendly communication skills
- ️ English – minimum B1 level
- Experience as a forklift mechanic, automotive mechanic, agricultural mechanic, heavy-equipment mechanic, service technician or maintenance mechanic can be highly relevant for this position. 🔩⚙️

🏠 ACCOMMODATION & TRANSPORT
- 🏡 Accommodation in a shared Dutch house, usually with 5–8 people
- 🛏️ Single room for technical candidates
- 💶 Accommodation: €145/week
- 🩺 Health insurance: €39.45/week
- 📍 Housing may be located in the city or a nearby village, often close to the workplace
- 🚲 E-bike can be provided free of charge when assigned
- 🚗 For technical candidates, work-related car transportation can be provided free of charge
- ⚠️ Provided vehicles cannot be used for private purposes
📄 CONTRACT
- You start with a Phase A contract, lasting 52 worked weeks.
- After Phase A, you can move to Phase B, which can last up to 3 years.
- Depending on performance and the situation, there may eventually be an opportunity for a permanent contract with the client or a Phase C contract.
- 💳 Salary is paid weekly.
- 📅 Your first salary is paid at the end of your second working week, on Thursday.

- These costs are deducted from your first salary.
