Are you an experienced Car Mechanic or Diagnostic Technician with excellent knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems?
We are looking for a skilled automotive technician to join a modern Peugeot/Citroën dealership workshop in Heemskerk.
⚠️ For this position, strong automotive electrical, electronics and diagnostic experience is essential.
This is not simply a general mechanical position. We are specifically looking for a technician who can independently diagnose complex electrical and electronic vehicle faults, identify their root cause and carry out the correct repair. ⚡💻🚗
⚡ YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose electrical and electronic vehicle faults
- Troubleshoot vehicle wiring and electrical circuits
- Diagnose problems with sensors and control units
- Work with modern automotive electronic systems
- Use professional diagnostic computers and measuring equipment
- Read and interpret diagnostic fault codes
- Analyze electrical information and technical data
- Identify the root cause of complex technical problems
- Repair electrical and mechanical vehicle systems
- Perform general vehicle maintenance and technical repairs
- Support other mechanics with complex diagnostic problems
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and quality standards
- 🚨 KEY REQUIREMENT – AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICS & DIAGNOSTICS
- We are specifically looking for candidates who are very strong in automotive electrics, electronics and diagnostics.
- You should be confident working with:
- ⚡ Vehicle electrical systems
- 💻 Diagnostic computers
- 🔌 Wiring & electrical circuits
- 📡 Sensors
- 🖥️ Electronic control units / ECUs
- 🔍 Fault codes & diagnostics
- 📏 Electrical measuring equipment

- You must be able to diagnose problems independently, rather than simply replacing components based on instructions.
✅ REQUIREMENTS
- ️ Minimum 3 years of professional automotive experience
- ️ Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems – ESSENTIAL
- ️ Proven experience diagnosing electrical vehicle faults
- ️ Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- ️ Experience using automotive diagnostic computers
- ️ Experience with electrical measuring equipment
- ️ Good understanding of mechanical vehicle systems
- ️ Able to work independently and accurately
- ️ Relevant automotive technical education, preferably comparable to Dutch MBO Level 3
- ️ English – minimum B1 level
- ️ Available for full-time employment
- ➕ APK certification is an advantage, or you should be willing to obtain it.
- ➕ Experience with Peugeot, Citroën or other modern passenger-car brands is an advantage, but not mandatory.

🏠 ACCOMMODATION
- 🏡 Accommodation can be arranged in shared houses
- 💶 Accommodation: €150/week

- 🛏️ Accommodation is generally in a double room. Single rooms are limited and may be available for certain skilled/technical candidates.
- 🧳 You should bring your own bed linen and toiletries. If required, a bedding package can be arranged for €10.
🚗 TRANSPORT
- 🚘 Agency car: €5/day
- ⛽ Fuel card provided
- ⚠️ Private use is not allowed.
- 🚗 Using your own car?
- A travel allowance may be available depending on the assignment, commonly around €0.23/km, subject to applicable conditions.
- 👥 If you transport colleagues to work, an additional gross daily allowance may apply depending on the number of passengers.
- 👕 WORKWEAR
- Candidates should preferably bring their own safety shoes and suitable work clothing.
- 🥾 Safety shoes can be provided for €45 if required
- 👕 T-shirt or hoodie can be provided free of charge
- 📄 CONTRACT & PAYMENT
- 📑 Regular Phase A employment contract
- 📅 Contract duration: 1 year
- 🔄 Automatically extended every 4 weeks
- 🌍 Contract available in English, Polish, Dutch and Ukrainian
- 📄 A draft contract can be requested before arrival
- 💳 Salary is paid weekly.
- 📅 First salary is paid at the end of the second working week.
